This simple, cold-weather warmer pairs the flavors of honey and lemon with Mad River Distillers Maple Cask Rum.
Ingredients
SERVINGS: 1
- 1½ ounces Maple Cask Rum
- ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
- ½ ounce honey ginger syrup (recipe below)
- 2 dashes El Guapo Chicory Pecan Bitters (available at the Mad River Burlington store)
- 2 dashes Bennett Aromatic Bitters (available at the Mad River Burlington store)
- Hot water
Preparation
Combine all the ingredients in your favorite mug. Top off with hot water. Stir and garnish with candied ginger and a lemon peel.
For Honey Ginger Syrup
Dissolve one part local raw honey with one part hot water to make honey syrup. Dissolve eight parts honey syrup with one part freshly juiced ginger root.
